Because this weather is scarey, and it invades your life, and it’s interesting, because it causes you to get flashes of the ‘Siege’ mentality -

do I have my power-cut box stocked,
is everything moveable tied down,
how many (unavoidable) [...]

I spend a fortune on yogurt …
Mindy’s training regime insists that I must always eat before she does, and as I never seem to want to eat my main meal at the same time as is handy to give her hers, I always sit down to what I’ve been calling my ‘dog-yoghurt’ just before I feed [...]

 
This is the vase of flowers I returned with from a particularly large shopping expedition … They are just the sort I like - cream roses, bordered carnations, and I think some lilies on the left … Tesco’s finest …!
